With luxury items considered discretionary purchases, many antiques and artists' originals are maybe selling for much less. That creates an opportunity for an astute buyer to purchase a compelling item that can maintained its resale value, while also fulfilling its role as a central decor piece. Although you will need a good eye to recognize such an investment, a wealth of guidance is available for beginners from reputable dealers and collectors.
